BMG Australia...

[This is the BMG Australia press release announcing the release of the 'My Love Is Your Love' single]

'My Love Is Your Love' is the 4th single from Whitney's worldwide multi-platinum smash album of the same name.

This single has been Whitney's biggest hit in the UK and Europe since 'I Will Always Love You'. It spent almost two months in the upper reaches of the UK & European chart and is currently bulleting up the Billboard singles chart.

'My Love Is Your Love' has been a summer anthem across the world with it's sublime groove and infectious, uplifting chorus....This is one of Whitney's finest singles in years.

Be on the lookout for Whitney's stunning new image and video!

Once again the remixes are AMAZING and are currently lodged at #1 on the US Billboard dance chart, after topping UK and European club charts in through their summer. Australian exclusive track listing includes ....

Wyclef Jean Mix
Thunderpuss 2000 Club Mix
Jonathan Peters 13 Minute Club Mix
PLUS the much-sought-after 'It's Not Right But It's Okay' Bootleg Mix.

The single was released commercially today.

Says Billboard...

[This from Billboard Magazine this week]

PIPPED AT THE POST: Whitney Houston lost her chance to collect her ninth No.1 hit on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles & Tracks chart this week, as My Love Is Your Love (Arista) remains No. 2, while Deborah Cox surges 11-1 with We Can't Be Friends (also on Arista).

It wasn't a great week for Houston, who also just missed advancing into the top 10 on The Billboard Hot 100. My Love Is Your Love makes a nice 16-11 jump, but Mark Anthony made a massive 56-10 leap with his first chart entry, I Need To Know (Columbia).

Still, there could be a reversal of fortune in Houston's future. She should be in the top 10 of the Hot 100 next week, and she could still surpass Cox to claim the crown on the R&B chart.

HOUSTON'S "LOVE" IS OUR " LOVE"

The commercial release of Whitney Houston's "My Love Is Your Love" (Arista) pushes the single to new heights on the Hot R&B Singles & Tracks as well as the Hot 100. The fourth single from Houston's latest album (also titled "My Love Is Your Love") pole vaults 11-2 on the R&B chart. If "My Love Is Your Love" can inch up one position next issue, dislodging "Spend My Life With You" by Eric Benet featuring Tamia, it will be Houston's 9th chart topper. That will keep her in 3rd place on the list of solo female artists with the most No 1 R&B hits, behind Aretha(20) and Janet(14).
On the Hot 100 where "My Love Is Your Love" wasn't even in the top 40 last issue, Houston is up 28 places to No.16. That should make it a certainty to reach the top 10, and when it does, it will be Houston's 22nd top 10 hit. That's good enough for 3rd place here as well, where she trails Madonna(32) and Janet (24). Houston has done incredibly well with singles from the "My Love Is Your Love" album, especially if you discount "When You Believe" her duet with Mariah Carey from The Prince of Egypt. "Heartbreak Hotel" peaked at no. 2 and "It's Not Right But It's Okay" went as high as No 3.

[Thanks Andrea]

German Show, UK Review...

UK tabloid newspaper, The Mirror today published a review of Whitney's Hamburg show. along with this fabulous photo of her in concert, in the build up to her first UK show in a year The Voice Thrills Us All To Whits....

Whitney Live In Hamburg They call her The Voice. She has a reputation for being "difficult". But Whitney Houston showed the mellow side of her nature in Germany on Saturday.

The mega-selling diva comes across as so polished on record, so "in charge" that I expected her to be the same on stage. But live it's another story.

That's not to say her routine was sloppy. When she strode on stage at the Derbypark Arena outside Hamburg, it was with all the confidence I'd anticipated.

Clad from wig to toe in Dolce & Gabbana - a shocking pink coat over black bustier and zebra-print trousers - she appeared first on a metal bridge that led down to a stage decorated with three giant metal spider's webs.

Clad from wig to toe in Dolce & Gabbana - a shocking pink coat over black bustier and zebra-print trousers - she appeared first on a metal bridge that led down to a stage decorated with three giant metal spider's webs.

Midway through the gig with the band firing on all cylinders, Whitney had achieved the impossible and all 15,000 of the well-heeled Hamburgers were up and smiling.

Fuelled by the local Ratzenpiess lager I suddenly found myself among them, dancing and weaving my way through towards the front of the stage.

Whitney rounded off the evening with a movie medley climaxing with a show-stopping I Will Always Love You from The Bodyguard. It was a warm evening but everyone had goosebumps. Her encore turned out to be the best bit, a stomping version of It's Not Right.
