DISCUSSION FORUM
One the most exciting parts of a Whitney Houston
website for fans is the Discussion Forum - finally, a place to air their thoughts &
opinions on all things Whitney.
The discussions have proved in the past to be
thought-provoking, insightful and inspiring. The rules are simple - they are
based around respect. This is not a forum to validate the
works of other artists or advertise their existence - users of the Discussion Board
know where to go if they want to talk about anyone else. This is where you get to
talk about Whitney. Off topics are permitted but abuse of this or constant deviation
will result in messages being deleted. Please make
yourself familiar with the guiding principles of posting at Classic Whitney:
Consideration, Respect,
Moderation, Whitney.
This Bulletin Board is password
protected. You will need to register to post a message. The password is
e-mailed to you and from there on you will be able to post messages.
At the bottom of the page, you will see a link to "Register An Account". This
will take you to a standard page which cites ezboard's terms and conditions.
You click the I AGREE button and this takes you to a new page to register
yourself in. You can select:
1.. Global User (this allows you to use the same name and password on ANY ezboard).
2.. Local User (if you name is being used, then you will need to select Local User so that
the board allows you to use your name (i.e. "Fred" if "Fred" is
already being used by someone else Globally). I would suggest you try Global User first
and if this doesn't work, then go for Local User. Please use your real first name or the
name you are already known by on the previous BBS where possible.
You will be taken to a screen to input your name and e-mail address. Do this. The system
will then e-mail you your password. It's usually 5 digits. Once you have this, you are
able to post on the board. You can change your password. Your webbrowser will remember
your user name and password so everytime you come to the board, you are automatically
remembered. If you forget your password or you use another PC or something, you can easily
get your password sent again as a reminder to your e-mail account.
On the top left hand side, you will see a button titled New Topic. When
you click that, you will be able to post messages on this board. The system will need your
user name and password for the first message but then for subsequent messages it will
remember these details.
If you look underneath the section for your comments, there are some options:
1. Ezcodes. This brings up a help screen informing you how to post links, add images, made
text bold, italic etc.
2. Emoticons. These are really cool symbols which allow you to place small face images on
the BBS. More details about this can be found by following the link.
Questions and comments can be directed on the
board or via e-mail to the board
Administrator.
