'Love, Whitney' appears to have been put back at the last minute in the UK. Despite 'reviews' in the tabloids over the weekend and at the end of last week confirming the album's release, it did not appear in stores today. Versions of 'Love, Whitney' that can be found in some stores (and online retailers) across the UK since the end of last year are not UK issue but a European pressing as confirmed by the copyright information. The reason they don't have import stickers simply extends on the fact that Europe is trying to promote an open market across it's internal borders and so technically, it isn't an import. On a more positive, note, The Mirror's recommended new release for the week is 'Love, Whitney' stating: An album of the singer's best love songs which is perfect for those winter nights - whatever else, she has a great voice.
'Whitney: The Greatest Hits' registered as the 111th best selling album in the UK in 2001. The album finished in 10th place in 2000. [Thanks Jeffrey B.]
