[From London Free Press, Canada] 1991 Whitney Houston performed The Star-Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl game -- sort of. What the crowd heard was a pre-recorded version while Houston and an orchestra performed on the field. A blend of Houston's live vocals and the pre-recorded version, released as a single, became a hit because of patriotism sparked by the Persian Gulf War.

[From Contact Music] Costner Uses DVD Release To Refuel Bodyguard Sequel KEVIN COSTNER is using next week's (01FEB05) special DVD release of THE BODYGUARD to refuel talk about a sequel. The new special edition DVD, which features never-seen-before-behind-the-scenes footage, has given Costner renewed energy in his bid to get a sequel to the hit 1992 film, which co-starred WHITNEY HOUSTON. He says, "I think there's a window into that movie now."

In conjunction with Black History
Month on VH1 during February, the music network will air Def Jams, an hour
long documentary that looks at the evolution of Black music during the 80s
and the rise of artist such as Whitney Houston during that era.
During the month, VH1 will also re-air the Whitney Houston Driven
documentary.

Business Wire Report: "The Bodyguard" -- starring Academy Award(R) winner Kevin Costner ("Dances With Wolves," "Field of Dreams," "Tin Cup," "JFK") and multi-Grammy(R) award winning singer/actress Whitney Houston ("The Preacher's Wife," "Waiting to Exhale," "Cinderella") -- will arrive for the first time in widescreen on February 1 from Warner Home Video (WHV).
