Whitney 'Upset'...

[Associated Press Report]

Whitney Houston reportedly upset by divorce rumors

(1/20/06 - NEW YORK) - Bobby Brown doesn't want you to believe the reports that he and Whitney Houston are splitting up.

Brown tells People magazine that "the rumors are wrong." He says if he did say something along those lines "it was a joke."  Brown admits that Houston is "definitely upset" about the rumors. Brown swears he and Houston are in it "for the duration."

Brown Boast...

[From Hip Hop DX]

Bad boy singer Bobby Brown told a group of women that he and wife Whitney Houston are divorcing. Bobby, 36, was chatting it up backstage at a show by SWV in Connecticut. A witness claimed: "While flirting with a bunch of women, they asked, 'What's up with your wife?'. Bobby said, 'We ain't together no more. We're getting a divorce'." Brown and Houston's 14-year marriage has been rumored to be in trouble for years. Brown has been in jail over drunk driving and in 2003 he was accused of beating Houston, 42, after she called police. She later dropped the charges. Despite their troubles they have just been named among the 10 Hottest Couples by Ebony magazine.

Urban Bridgez...

The Urban Bridgez site lists their 'Top 10 Artists To Look Out For In 2006' and features Whitney Houston at No.5 with the following commentary:

Whutchulookinat? Will be the catch phrase Whitney will use once again when she re-emerges like a phoenix out of the ashes in the last quarter of 2006. Fans got a taste of what the real Whitney was like when she appeared on husband Bobby Brown's reality show, Being Bobby Brown. Most were able to see a down-home girl living and going through things an ordinary person would go through which made her a relatable. Having faced so much adversity and public backlash for her troubles, Whitney's going to silence those critics with the voice that brought her to the forefront of the music industry over 25 years ago. The road will be tough, but in the end Whitney will prevail.
