Whitney Houston: Whitney beats Britney!

No Whitney has NOT beaten Britney Spears up - but she has pipped her to the top album spot in the charts!

This is very exciting news for Whitney Houston and Arista as this weeks chart shows that no-one has managed to defeat the inimitable, definite album 'Whitney- The Greatest Hits'. No-one. Not even hot new rival Britney Spears whose album went in at number two!
 
Whitney Houston is one of the biggest selling superstars of our time. She has released 4 solo albums and 3 movie soundtracks; she was the first female artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold over 100 million records. Not only that but she has broken box office records with her film debut 'The Bodyguard in 1992 as well as starring in and recording the platinum selling soundtracks to 'Waiting to Exhale' and 'The Preacher's Wife'
 
'Whitney'- The Greatest Hits' hitting the number one album spot just goes to show that Whitney's enduring appeal from the mid-eighties until now, just simply cannot be beaten.
