Whitney Houston Back With Clive Davis

By Paul Cashmere

17 September 2004

Whitney Houston will record her next album under the guidance of record company guru Clive Davis.

Houston will release her 7th album on her long-term label Arista, following Davis' return as head of the label.

Davis discovered Whitney Houston and acted as Executive Producer for her debut self-titled album in 1985. That album generated the hits 'Saving All My Love For You', 'How Will I Know' and 'The Greatest Love Of All'.

Last Wednesday, Davis was honored at the World Music Awards in Las Vegas. Houston flew in to perform in his honor.

Davis and Houston hold the record for seven consecutive number ones on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Her catalogue has sold more than 125 million albums to date.

The new album will be their first work together in five years.
