The Return of Whitney - Whit To Perform At Clive's Party

*While one Houston seems to be spiraling downward (reference to Houston Summers reported suicide attempt), another is clawing her way back to the top. All eyes are on Whitney as she takes the first step of her comeback with a featured performance at Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy bash on Feb. 12 at the Beverly Hills Hotel ballroom.

Houston is featured prominently in the glossy booklet-sized invite, which also reveals Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Annie Lennox in the performance lineup. Fox News reports that Davis' J Records artists Jamie Foxx and Gavin DeGraw are also scheduled to be in the show – but as secret surprise guests.

Davis's Grammy party continues to be a much hotter ticket than the Grammy show itself. Last year, Alicia Keys sang with the group Ray, Goodman and Brown and Russell Thompkins, Jr. of the Stylistics.

Meanwhile, The Roots' 2nd Annual Pre-Grammy Party in Hollywood on Feb. 12 will feature the rap collective in a three-hour jam session. Jada Pinkett-Smith will be a special guest host. Last year's jam featured performances from Norah Jones, Common, Alicia Keys, and Anthony Hamilton; with Sharon Stone, Omar Epps and Aisha Tyler participating.
