POSTED: 12:13 p.m. EST March 24, 2004
Singer Bobby Brown is due in court Wednesday in Canton, Mass., to deal with
a paternity lawsuit.
Brown was let out of jail in Georgia Monday to attend the
hearing, which authorities said is related to child-support payments.
The office manager of the court said a Robert Brown is on
the docket for Wednesday for a contempt hearing for a paternity lawsuit.
Brown's lawyer said the case involves Brown's two
children in Massachusetts, but declined to elaborate on the relationship
with the woman who filed the suit.
The singer had been serving time for violating his probation on a drunken
driving charge.
Brown's wife, Whitney Houston, is not expected to be in court with Brown
because she's still in rehab.
Her publicist said Houston is "taking care of herself at the moment and
continues to support her husband."
