Bobby Brown 'Saddened' By Whitney Houston Divorce

R&B star Bobby Brown is devastated by wife Whitney Houston's decision to file for a divorce after 14 years of marriage. Houston filed for a legal separation on 8 September (06) and is seeking custody of their 13-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.

Brown tells American publication People, "I'm really saddened by the whole situation."

He is currently in Boston, Massachusetts celebrating his eldest daughter Laprincia's 17th birthday, who is his daughter with ex-girlfriend Kim Ward.  The My Prerogative singer also caught a Mike Epps show with a group of friends at Boston's Comedy Connection on Sunday (17Sep06) night.

According to witnesses, Brown seemed to be in good spirits and was mingling with the crowd of 500 and taking pictures with Epps after the show.

Brown has been linked to Karrine Steffans, who wrote Confessions Of A Video Vixen about her life in the hip-hop world, but he has refused to comment on their relationship.

Divorce proceedings are expected to begin next month (Oct06).
