BET Honour Whitney...

Destiny's Child leads music nominees for the first BET Awards with nods for best female group, video of the year, and viewers' choice award. Artists with double nominations are Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Nelly, Outkast, and Musiq Soulchild.

Whitney Houston will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the inaugural ceremony, slated to take place June 19 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. The two-hour live telecast -- hosted by Steve Harvey and Cedric "The Entertainer" -- will also honor film and sports nominees.
