Whitney Houston & Bobby Brown Tonight In Israel

The singer and her husband will stay in Israel for about a week, and will visit Dimona among other places where they will be guests of the Hebrews community.

The American singer Whitney Houston will land this afternoon (Sunday) in the Ben Gurion airport.

Houston, coming to Israel in El-Al 026 flight from Newark will land at 6pm along with her husband Bobby Brown and an entourage of 16 people, including her personal manager and his wife.

Contrary to early information, she will arrive to a private visit lasting a week and not a few hours as it was published.   Tonight at 7:30pm, the singer is supposed to arrive to a private dinner with the leader of the Hebrews community from Dimona, Ben Ami Carter, and this Thursday, she will most likely have a press conference with members of the community.

During her stay in Israel, she is expected to travel the country.  Spokesperson of the Hebrews community in Dimona, Yafa Ben-Israel said: "Whitney has friends in the community, she searched for a place to rest and we asked her to come to Israel. She'll arrive to us by an invitation of Ben-Ami Carter, the leader of the community, and no, she is not planned to sing with us."

Spokesperson for the record label Hed-Artzi, representing Arista records where Houston is signed to, said in reply: "It's a private visit that didn't go through the record label at all. We contacted Arista and they refused to confirm or hand details in the matter"
