MTV: Cops Investigate Houston Face WoundJuly 22 [10:00 EDT] -- Whitney Houston was brought to the hospital yesterday on the Italian Island of Capri, where she and her husband, Bobby Brown, had stopped on their yacht tour of the Mediterranean, according to the Associated Press. Houston had a small but deep cut on her face, which has sparked a police investigation. According to police, it was conflicting reports of how Houston incurred the wound which prompted them to investigate. Houston told the cops that she hurt herself by colliding with a rock while she was swimming, but a member of the yacht's crew reported that the singer was cut while she was on the boat. In June, witnesses reported that they saw Brown slap Houston during an argument in a shopping mall.
