couple buys diva’s Mendham Township home

RANDOLPH TWP. – The
smallest of two homes owned by singer Whitney Houston in Mendham Township
has been sold to a Randolph couple for $940,000.
Property records show the home at 1 Cross Way was sold on Jan. 6 to Anthony
and Michelle Trinco, formerly of Tammy Hill Trail in Randolph.
Still on the market for $2.5 million is Houston’s second home, an 11-room
mansion at 22 North Gate Road.
Real estate records show the Cross Way home was placed for sale last June
and is set on five acres. It has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms
and was sold for slightly more than the $889,300 assessment, which included
$379,100 for the home and $510,200 for the property.
The larger home totals
12,561 square feet and is on 5.11 acres. Taxes for 2009 totaled $94.763. The
home and property are listed with Coldwell Banker’s Bernardsville office.
Houston, a Grammy winning pop and gospel diva, bought the home with her
former husband in July 1987. They divorced in 2006.
Houston reportedly lives at homes in Georgia and Los Angeles.
