Whitney Houston is doing well and is
"very happy" after returning from rehab, husband Bobby Brown said Friday.
Houston went to rehab because of a marijuana habit, he said: "I'm really
proud of her. It helps both of us, because I've been in recovery for almost
two years."
Brown spoke to reporters at the downtown Ritz-Carlton Friday to promote his
new reality show, "Being Bobby Brown," which launches June 30 on Bravo.
On Thursday, he, Houston and all four of his kids went to a Buckhead studio
to shoot publicity shots and commercials for the series. They also
celebrated his father "Pop's" birthday.
The show is culled from footage shot over more than two years of Brown,
Houston and his kids going about their daily lives — at Buckhead restaurants
like the Palm and the Dave & Buster's in Duluth. It also won't shy away from
Brown's legal troubles.
Brown admits the show is partly a bid to restart his career. "I'm just an
entertainer, man, that is trying hard to get back in."
He also hopes the show will put to rest all the gossip about him based on
his run-ins with the law. He says he's "sick and tired of being sick and
tired of all the garbage that's out there."
