Austrian Times: Whitney Houston to sing in Vienna

Pop diva Whitney Houston is to perform in Vienna next year, it has been announced.

Organisers said today (Mon) the star will perform on 19 May 2010 at Vienna’s Stadthalle as part of a European tour.

Austrian organiser Richard Hoermann said it would be Houston’s first appearance in Austria in 10 years.

"She enchanted the public on two evenings then at the Stadthalle, and sales of tickets for next year’s appearance will begin exactly 10 years after her second performance there," he added.

Hoermann said ticket sales would begin at 9am on 23 October at Stadthalle ticket offices, on 01/79 999 79 and online at www.stadthalle.com
