BBC News: Houston announces UK tour dates
Whitney Houston will kick
off a European tour with five dates in the UK next year.
The singer, 46, whose comeback album I Look To You is released in the UK on
19 October, will start the tour in Manchester on Thursday 8 April.
She will also play in Glasgow, Birmingham and Newcastle before finishing the
UK dates at London's O2 arena on 25 April.
Tickets for the dates will go on sale on Friday morning.
Houston is due to give her first UK TV performance in 12 years on Sunday
night on ITV1's The X Factor.
I Look To You - her first studio album since 2002 - was a US number one
following its release there in September.
Last month, Houston told chat show host Oprah Winfrey she was now drug-free
but faced a daily struggle to stay clean.
