Backstreet Boys, Whitney Houston plan Chinese tour
BEIJING, May 20 (Xinhuanet) --
American pop band the Backstreet Boys and diva Whitney Houston are
planning Chinese tours, and are waiting the go-ahead from Chinese Culture
Ministry.
The Backstreet Boys will probably choose China's Guangdong province for
their debut in September. Their exact schedule hasn't yet been fixed.
Whitney Houston is to hold solo concerts in Beijing and Shanghai from July
22 to 25.
Britney Spears has reportedly scrapped plans to perform in China in late
September because she is suffering from exhaustion, and organisers say the
Backstreet Boys will stand in for her on the original date.
