ArtistCollection.org is a new website dedicated to all the BMG releases under the Artist Collection banner. The Whitney Houston section features short video clips for 'Saving All My Love For You', 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)' and 'I Have Nothing' to profile the 5 video DVD that will be issued in conjunction with the CD release. The blurb that accompanies the Whitney Houston Artist Collection page reads as follows: Whitney Houston was the first of the modern R&B
divas who is graced with the same vocal genes as her mother, Cissy, and
her aunt, Dionne Warwick. With over 120 million albums and 50 million
singles sold worldwide, Whitney has already established an unparalleled
legacy for herself. A singer who influenced an entire generation of female
vocalists, she made history, in 1987, as the first female artist to enter
the Billboard album charts at #1 and established herself as the only
artist ever to have seven consecutive #1 hits, surpassing a record
previously set by The Beatles and The Bee Gees.

The WHAT ABOUT US? singer went to see Houston perform live when she was a budding wannabe and spent the whole gig hoping to persuade the idol to help her become a star. Brandy says, "I didn't enjoy myself because I was at work. I was trying to get to the front of the arena. "I was working the ushers, like, 'Look I'm young. I'm gonna be a star and if you hook me up I'll remember you.' "I really wanted to meet Whitney Houston. In my mind that was my big chance to become famous. "I talked my way down to the front, but I didn't meet her. So that night I was very disappointed and upset."
