Brown Back In Jail...

[Associated Press Report]

Bobby Brown Jailed in Probation Violation

The Associated Press
Sunday, February 22, 2004; 1:09 AM

DECATUR, Ga. - Singer Bobby Brown is back in jail for violating his probation on a prior drunken driving conviction.

Brown, 35, was being held Saturday without bond at the DeKalb County Jail, sheriff's spokeswoman Mikki Jones said. He was taken into custody after appearing before a judge Friday, but officials could not confirm exactly what Brown had done to violate his probation.

He was expected to remain jailed until a court hearing on Friday.

The judge's ruling may have been related to Brown's charge of misdemeanor battery in December, following an argument with his wife, singer Whitney Houston. A preliminary hearing in that case was set for May 5.

Brown left the R&B group New Edition in the late 1980s for a solo career. He has been on probation since January 2003, when he was convicted of a 1996 drunken driving incident. Brown had been ordered to remain on probation until Feb. 17, 2005.

Brown's hits include "My Prerogative" and "Every Little Step."

Not Pregnant & Still With Brown...

[From New York Daily News]

Whitney: Pregnant pause in Petersburg?

Whitney Houston's camp is hosing down reports the diva is pregnant with her second child. According to Russian reports, the R&B diva clutched her stomach and told an audience in St. Petersburg, Russia, on Feb. 8: "This song is for [my daughter] Kristina, and also for my future baby, who I have in here."

One fan who attended the concert writes on whitney-houston.com: "I could see her pregnant belly and she even told about her pregnancy from the stage. ...[She said,] 'As you can see, I will have another one!"

Houston's rep, Nancy Seltzer, tells us: "I've spoken with people who were at the show. She never said that. She's not pregnant."

Curiously, a photo of Houston taken in Russia shows her without her wedding ring.

Last December, Houston told Atlanta police that her husband, Bobby Brown, struck her during an argument. But Seltzer says Brown, who is awaiting a hearing on battery charges, is still living with Houston.
